Waves of Peace Event ~ Women's Surf Hotline Phone Booth

Thanks to everyone for joining our Waves of Peace, social distanced-mask required event at the vintage and sustainable-leading clothing store in Portland, Wild Cactus Vintage.

We were so excited to host a Women’s Surf Hotline from 4-5PM. This was a participatory art project by Brianna Ortega, Founder of Sea Together. Participants could go into the phone booth, designed by artist Emma Duehr and constructed by Will Oneill. Once in the phone booth, participants can call the number on the phone booth to talk with a woman surfer, Anna Dimond, on the other side of the hotline. Women surfers who participated in this project shared how meaningful and impactful it was to share their experiences with Anna. Thanks to all who took part in the project!

Thanks to Willow Wine from the Gorge for donating wine to the event, as well as Surfrider Foundation for coming to raise awareness for their important work, and Go Macro for giving us plenty of amazing vegan bars of goodness.

We also want to say a special shoutout to Robyn Schmidt, one of our VIP Patreon members. You can become a member here to get new perks, brand discounts, and special access to Sea Together content.
