Our Philosophy: Surfing is more than a sport. It’s a lifelong practice of connection, discovery, and becoming one with the ocean.
At Sea Together, we believe the best parts of surfing extend beyond the waves — in the places we explore, the people we meet, the creativity we share, and the adventures that stay with us.

How to Read the Ocean A Surf Guide by Sea Together and written by Bri Ortega
You checked the forecast. It said 6 feet. You paddled out. Nothing felt like you expected.
If that's ever been you, this guide is for you. Note: This guide is written in a way that is good for all surf levels to read!
Read the Ocean is a field guide to actually understanding what the sea is doing, written from real world experience, real mistakes, and real time in the water in the Pacific Ocean.
Inside you'll find everything from how swell period works (and why 19 seconds once left me sitting on the beach wondering what I'd just paddled into), to how tides behave differently depending on where you are in the world, to how to spot a rip current before it finds you first.
This guide won't make you a pro surfer. But it will make you a surfer who understands what she's looking at - in the forecast, on the beach, and in the water.
EBOOK REVIEW:
“Your ebook is awesome! It really helped me conceptualize how my homebreak is a lot different from other places I’ve been. It’s sometimes hard to get an idea of how these things work when you don’t grow up on an ocean, but your explanations were really clear.” - Hayley, surfing 9 years

Women Who Surfed Here is a small field guide for looking closer at the places where we surf. It begins with a simple question: who surfed here before me? The women who came before us may appear in photographs, newspapers, surf shops, local archives, family stories, or memories carried by people who have lived in a place for a long time. Sometimes you may find a name. Sometimes a photograph. Sometimes just a small clue.
This guide is an invitation to slow down, look around, ask a few questions, and follow what you find. You don’t need to be a historian or uncover something famous. Start wherever you are, pay attention to what catches your curiosity, and make a record of what you discover. What begins as one small finding might help bring another woman’s story into view.
