Photo / Content Release Form

Note from the Founder, Brianna: This form is to simply protect all volunteers who are involved with Sea Together Magazine. People recently told me I needed to have this to protect myself legally and all other volunteers involved, so I created one easy for everyone to submit their form to. Know that we credit all contributors/photographers/artists, and this is just to protect our side of things so we don't get sued, etc., and to make sure on your side that you realize that your photos and content will be in print in Issue 001, Issue 002, and Issue 003 :-)

We can't include your submission / move forward in printing without everyone submitting this. Feel free to contact me with any concerns or edits we can potentially make with the form (I repurposed this form from online). Submit the form at the bottom of the page. Thank you so much for your contribution to making Sea Together happen!

Also just a reminder that we are all volunteers and that this is side passion project with dreams to grow and none of us are getting paid.

IMAGE, ART AND ARTICLE RELEASE FORM

By filling out this digital release form, I (Name Listed Below in Form) hereby grant Sea Together Magazine permission to use the photography or other content submitted in their volunteer publication, including their website & internet postings on Instagram.  I (Name Listed Below in Form) verify that I have the right to publish the people in the pictures and that I own the rights to have these pictures (or other content) distributed, published, or otherwise promoted by Sea Together Magazine as they see fit for their publication.  I certify that this work of art is not plagiarized from another source.

I understand that the picture(s) (or other content/art/etc.) I submit to Sea Together Magazine may be used in their publication in print as well as on their website/other social media and internet postings.

I (Name Below in Form) understand that by completing this form only allows Sea Together Magazine to use my photos (or other content) in their publication, and at no time will Sea Together Magazine assume rights to the photos (or other content) themselves, other than me allowing them the right to publish the photos (or other content submitted and should they then post pages from the publication on their website or in internet postings.

I (Name Below in Form) understand that at no time shall I be paid, re-imbursed, compensated, or given royalties, now or at any point in the future by Sea Together Magazine.

I  hereby irrevocably authorize Sea Together Magazine to copy, exhibit, publish or distribute these photos (or other content) in their publication for purposes of publicizing Sea Together Magazine in their publication, website or internet postings or for any other lawful purpose. I also give the right for Sea Together Magazine to make any necessary edits(i.e. resize .....) to fit into the publication and have it acceptably printed only if permission granted (see YES or NO for photo editing below). 

I (Name Below in Form) hereby hold harmless and release and forever discharge Sea Together Magazine from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on the behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.

I (Name Below in Form) certify that the person or ALL person(s) in the photo(s) are at least 18 years of age.  If they are under the age of 18, I certify that their parent or legal guardian has given approval.  I have read this release and I fully understand the contents, meaning, and impact of this release.

I (Name Below in Form) affirm that all given statements to the magazine are true. As the provider, I also understand that submissions of content, or completion of release, is not a guarantee of publication. If Work is published, it is the duty of the provider (and not Sea Together Magazine) to notify all involved parties of their involvement in the final product.

1) Sea Together Magazine does not pay for submissions, including art, photography, writing, interviews, or any other work. We are 100% volunteer-based.
 
2) Submitters must be copyright holders. You will be responsible if a claim is made against Sea Together Magazine for copyright infringement. By submitting you grant permission to publish and distribute your work in any shape or form in our magazine, website, or social media.

3) All photography, art and content is credited at least once in each feature.
